NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is one of the most sought national level examination for year 2017. The test is conducted and regulated by the CBSE. The test will be held twice in year 2017 (said by some sources). The test commenced for granting the admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by various institutions across the country.
NOTE: As per the govt. ordinance, the NEET 2017 Examination will be held as a single window examination for admission to MBBS/BDS courses across the country. All state/university/private medical examinations has been scrapped. From the year 2017, 15% All India quota seats will be filled by NEET 2017 only.
All below given exams (for UG) details except AIIMS and JIPMER are for general information only as per the last year schedule and processing. Candidates are suggested to consider the NEET exam for admission to MBBS/BDS courses. However, AIIMS & JIPMER may be conducted for the year 2017 for admission to their seats only.
All India pre medical test (AIPMT) is national level entrance examination that is conducted every year for granting admission to medical courses like MBBS/BDS. It is organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The application form of this examination will be announced in the month of December and the examination will be scheduled in the month of May, 2017.
AIIMS is the reputed medical entrance examination conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Through this examination, admission to the undergraduate medical courses like MBBS is provided. The candidates who want to pursue MBBS course from the institutions of AIIMS can apply for this course. The application form of AIIMS 2017 will be released in the third week of February, 2017.
Aligarh Muslim University popularly known as AMU conducts the entrance examination for MBBS and BDS courses. Those possessing age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission are eligible for applying. The examination of MBBS/BDS will be held in two tiers namely Tier-1 and Tier-2. Tier-1 will be conducted in the month of April and Tier-2 will be organized in the month of June.
IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test) is the University level entrance examination administered by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. It is the gateway for admission to various UG and PG courses in the field of medical, engineering, law and management. The application for IPU CET 2017 will be announced in the last week of January.
University of Delhi (Delhi University) offers UG and PG courses in the field of medical, engineering, commerce and science. Admission to MBBS course in the constituent colleges of Delhi University will be done on the basis of AIPMT. No separate pre-medical test will be conducted for admission to the MBBS programme of DU.
Central Admission Committee (CENTAC) is the main authority that has the responsibilities of conducting admission to UG programmes offered by various government colleges of Puducherry and other states/UT’s in the field of medical and engineering. CENTAC 2017 application form for admission will be announced in the second week of May, 2017.
CMC (Christian Medical College), Vellore organizes the entrance test known as CMC Vellore for admission to its UG, PG, diploma and doctoral programmes offered in the field of medical (MBBS, Nursing, B.Sc, M.Sc, etc). The authority releases the application form online only in the third week of February, 2017.
JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research) regulates the medical entrance examination for providing admission in MBBS, MD, MS courses. The candidates can apply for this examination in the first week of March, 2017 through online mode only.
Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University conducts Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University Common Entrance Test (BVP CET) for admission to various UG and PG courses offered in the field of medical, engineering, management, nursing, etc. Separate application form will be available for different courses. Candidates can fill the application form as per his/her choice.
SAAT (Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test) is the University level entrance examination controlled and managed by the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University. The University conducts SAAT entrance examination for admitting students in various UG and PG courses like B.Tech/MBBS/BDS/B.Pharm, B.Tech/MBBS/BDS/M.Pharm, etc.
MU OET (Manipal University Online Entrance Test) is conducted by the Manipal University. It is the gateway through which admission to various UG and PG courses in the associated colleges of Manipal University is offered. This entrance test is conducted for providing admission to engineering, medical and many other courses.
KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam) is organized by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. It is the university level entrance exam. This examination is the gateway for UG & PG engineering and medical courses. The application form of KIITEE 2017 will be accessible from second week of December, 2016.
Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is supervised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is a national level examination that will be conducted in the third week of January, 2017. It offers admission to M.Pharm programme.
AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) organizes a separate entrance exam known as AIIMS Nursing 2017. Through this examination, students will get admission in B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) and M.Sc. Nursing programmes offered by AIIMS institutions.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research conducts the JIPMER PG examination for providing admissions in MD/MS courses. JIPMER PG exam will be organized in two sessions, i.e January and July 2017.
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Post Graduate (NEET PG) is a national level examination organized by National Board of Examinations (NBE). This examination is conducted for providing admission into MD/MS courses. The NBE also organizes NEET MDS 2017 exam for admission in MDS courses.
KLE University conducts the KLEU AIET 2017 university level examination for providing admissions into BAMS, B.Pharm, Pharm.D, BPT, B.Sc Nursing and many other programmes. KLEU AIET examination will be conducted in the second week of May 2017.
AIIMS PG Entrance Exam is a university level examination organized by AIIMS, New Delhi. This examination is organized for selecting students for admissions in MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.CH Courses offered by AIIMS institutions across the country.
AIPGDEE also referred as All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination will be organized by AIIMS, Delhi. It is a national level exam conducted for providing admissions in 3-years full-time Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programme.
National Board of Examinations (NBE) organizes the national level examination AIPGMEE. This examination is regulated for providing admission to students in MD, MS and PG diploma programmes. This exam will be conducted in first week of December 2016.
Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test – Super Specialty (DNB CET-SS) is a national level exam regulated by the NBE. Through this examination, candidates will get admissions in Super Specialty courses.
National Board of Examinations regulates the Foreign Medical Graduate Screening Exam (FMGE) examination. It is conducted for those Indian nationals who are possessing medical qualification from abroad but desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or any State Medical Council.
Punjab University Common Entrance Test (Punjab CET) is a university level examination organized by the Punjab University. This examination offers an opportunity to students for admissions in Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), B.Pharmacy and B.Sc. (Hons.) courses.
Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) offers education in the field of medical. This college gives admission in MBBS course on the basis of NEET examination. The online filling of the application form will be started from the last week of April 2017.
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) organizes university level examination for providing admissions into MD, MS, DM, MDS and other PG courses offered by PGIMER. This examination will be organized in January and July sessions.
